Biography

Dr. Rop is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Department of Seed, Crop and Horticultural Sciences. He has served at University of Eldoret since 2008 as a lecturer and researcher in the field of Plant Sciences, focusing on research in Plant Pathology. He has also participated in the development of BSc. In Agriculture, BSc. In Horticultural Sciences and MSc. In Plant Protection programmes that are currently being offered in the Department.

Dr. Rop is an accomplished scholar, researcher and has supervised several undergraduates and postgraduates students. He is a reviewer and has published several manuscripts for local and international journals. He has examined MSc and PhD theses.

As Dean, school of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Dr. Rop would like to steer the school to higher standards building on the achievement of the predecessors to ensure that we produce qualified graduates for global market that are innovative in addressing the needs and aspirations of a dynamic society.
